The Travel Berkey® System – 1.5 Gallons is a compact, lightweight, and highly efficient stainless steel gravity water purifier ideal for small homes, apartments, RVs, and travel. Perfect for 1–2 people, it provides clean, great-tasting drinking water without chemicals, electricity, or complicated systems. Its portable design allows you to pack it into most suitcases, making it ideal for outdoor activities, camping, hotels, cottages, and emergency preparedness. The Travel Berkey® can purify water from rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, wells, and municipal supplies.

Black Berkey® Purification Elements
Each system includes Black Berkey® Purification Elements, tested by State and EPA-accredited laboratories to exceed NSF/ANSI Standard 53. A pair of elements purifies up to 6,000 gallons and removes or reduces bacteria, viruses, VOCs, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, and unpleasant tastes or odors.

Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride & Arsenic Filters (Sold Separately)
PF-2™ elements attach to the bottom of the purification elements to reduce fluoride, arsenic, and additional heavy metal ions.

Berkey® Standard Spigot
Includes a BPA-free, FDA-approved polypropylene spigot. Stainless steel spigot upgrades are also available.

How to Assemble the Travel Berkey® System

1. Wash hands and clean all components before assembly.

2. Remove parts from packaging and verify contents.

3. Prime the Black Berkey® Purification Elements.

4. Place the large sealing washer on the threaded stem of each element.

5. Insert each element into the upper chamber and secure with wing nuts.

6. Attach the spigot to the lower chamber.

7. Set the upper chamber onto the lower chamber and place the lid on top.

How to Prime the Elements

1. Attach the priming button or Berkey Primer™.

2. Run clean water through the element until fully saturated.

3. Install once primed.
