Black Berkey® Purification Elements use a powerful micro-pore structure to remove or reduce viruses, pathogenic cysts, parasites, harmful chemicals, herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, detergents, organic solvents, cloudiness, trihalomethanes, silt, sediment, heavy metals, foul tastes, and odors—while retaining essential minerals your body needs.

To be classified as a water purifier, a filtration device must remove at least 99.9999% of pathogenic bacteria and reduce viruses by 99.99%. Black Berkey® Purification Elements exceed this requirement by removing 99.9999999% of pathogenic bacteria and 99.999% of viruses.

Replacements

Each element lasts up to 3,000 gallons (6,000 gallons per pair) and provides years of reliable purification.

How To Install

1. Wash hands before handling components.

2. Remove parts from their packaging and verify contents.

3. Prime the Black Berkey® Purification Elements (see system instructions).

4. Place the large sealing washer on the threaded stem of each element.

5. Insert the element through the hole in the base of the upper chamber.

6. Secure with the wing nut.

7. Repeat for all elements being installed.
